Hoi An is a city found in Vietnam’s Quang Nam Province. It’s a port city located in the central-eastern part of the country. Hoi An has a tropical climate or Am under the Koppen-Geiger classification system. It has an average annual temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius (78.6 degrees Fahrenheit) and average rainfall and precipitation of 1,982 mm.

Summer season: Hoi An’s summer season is during the months of June to August is fairly rainy, the city gets 74 to 115 mm of rainfall and precipitation. During this time, minimum temperatures can range from 24.5 degrees Celsius (76.1 degrees Fahrenheit) to 24.9 degrees Celsius (76.8 degrees Fahrenheit), while maximum temperatures range from 33.5 degrees Celsius (92.3 degrees Fahrenheit) to 34 degrees Celsius (93.2 degrees Fahrenheit).

Autumn season: Hoi An experiences its autumn season during the months of September to November, getting around 326 to 529 mm of rainfall and precipitation, with October considered as the wettest month. Winter season: Hoi An’s winter season falls in the months of December to February, with the city getting around 39 to 212 mm of rainfall and precipitation. Minimum temperatures range from 18.8 degrees Celsius (65.8 degrees Fahrenheit) to 19.6 degrees Celsius (67.3 degrees Fahrenheit), while maximum temperatures range from 24.5 degrees Celsius (76.1 degrees Fahrenheit) to 26.1 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit).

Best Time to Go

Hoi An can be considered an all-year-round destination as the city enjoys warm and humid weather consistently. Although you can consider bringing rain gear if you intend to visit during the months of August to December.
