Vietnam Weather – Da Lat

Da Lat is the capital of the Lâm Dõng Province in Vietnam, found in the southern part of the central highlands region. The city has a subtropical highland climate or Cwb under the Koppen-Geiger classification system. Da Lat has an average annual temperature 17.9 degrees Celsius (64.2 degrees Fahrenheit) and average rainfall and precipitation of 1,768 mm.

The city gets its lowest minimum temperature of 10.3 degrees Celsius (50.5 degrees Fahrenheit) during the month of January and the highest maximum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius (79.2 degrees Fahrenheit) during the month of April. Summer season: Da Lat’s summer season is during the months of June to August, the city gets 166 to 254 mm of rainfall and precipitation. During this time, minimum temperatures can range from 15.6 degrees Celsius (60.1 degrees Fahrenheit) to 15.7 degrees Celsius (60.3 degrees Fahrenheit), while maximum temperatures can range from 23.2 degrees Celsius (73.8 degrees Fahrenheit) to 24.5 degrees Celsius (76.1 degrees Fahrenheit).

Autumn season: Da Lat experiences its autumn season during the months of September to November, getting around 92 to 302 mm of rainfall and precipitation, with September considered as the wettest month. Minimum temperatures range from 13.2 degrees Celsius (55.8 degrees Fahrenheit) to 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit), while maximum temperatures range from 23.1 degrees Celsius (73.6 degrees Fahrenheit) to 24.2 degrees Celsius (75.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

Winter season: Da Lat’s winter season falls in the months of December to February, with the city getting around 8 to 27 mm of rainfall and precipitation. Minimum temperatures range from 10.3 degrees Celsius (50.5 degrees Fahrenheit) to 11.8 degrees Celsius (53.2 degrees Fahrenheit), while maximum temperatures range from 22.7 degrees Celsius (72.9 degrees Fahrenheit) to 25.5 degrees Celsius (77.9 degrees Fahrenheit).

Best Time to Go

Da Lat can be considered an all-year-round destination. The months of December to March when flowers are blossoming everywhere, making the city more beautiful. Temperatures tend to rise during the months of May to August, but it’s still generally warm enough for an enjoyable vacation.
