Thanh Ha Terracotta Park

Explore the art of terracotta and pottery in the Thanh Ha Terracotta Park — a museum that features the history of terracotta in different cultures and around the world.

The Thanh Ha Terracotta Park is a 6,000 square metres park or museum that was built in 2011 by the architect Nguyen Van Nguyen. Nguyen was born and raised in the village and he took inspiration in the century-old traditional way of terracotta and pottery craftsmen.

Today, the park is popular for its pottery, bricks, and tiles. The Yin Yan tiles, which you can see in a number of streets in the old city of Hoi An is worth mentioning. Another highlight is the World Square and the Museum of Pottery village, which includes clay sculptures of famous sights and tourist attractions around the world. See Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa, India’s Taj Mahal, Australia’s Sydney Opera House, the USA’s White House, and Egypt’s Pyramids as clay masterpieces. At the same time, give attention to how the park is shaped — which is modelled after a potter’s wheel.
