Water Puppet Show
The origin of the Water Puppet Show is one that exhibits Hanoians’ resilience — long ago, the rice paddies were flooded and as a way to lift the spirits of the people, villagers provided entertainment by standing in waist-deep water and making puppets move over the water. Today, the Water Puppet Show entertains guests by taking them on a journey to ancient village life, mythical creature dances, and bountiful harvests — all done in a modern pool. Tickets for the Water Puppet Show in Hanoi sells out fast and tourists are encouraged to buy one as soon as they get to Hanoi.
