Son Tra Mountain
Tourists who want to have a quick escape from Da Nang’s busy city centre can go to nearby Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain), a sought-after destination famous for its peaceful and panoramic sights.
Also known as Son Tra Peninsula, the mountain is surrounded with breathtaking beaches such as Bai Nam, Bai Bac, Bai But, and Tien Sa Beach that offer a relaxing sight once viewed from the top of the mountain. Once used as an observation base during the American-Vietnam war, Son Tra Mountain provides a great spot for anyone who wants to see nearby Hi Van Mountain, Da Nang City, and Cham Island. Come via motorbike and see photo-worthy sights, or you can choose to hike to the top and see other iconic landmarks — which include the statue of Lady Buddha — along the way.
