Royal Park Rajapruek
Opened in 2008, Royal Park Rajapruek is built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Accession to the Throne. Known as one of the largest agro-tourism attractions in Chiang Mai, Royal Park Rajapruek is a haven for plant and nature lovers.
Exploring Royal Park Rajapruek is similar to traveling and exploring the gardens of the world. The park has different small gardens with floras and faunas coming from 21 countries in Asia, South America, and Europe. Each garden is incredibly picturesque and exhibits unique and beautiful styles and colours. Each botanical section is also made to represent each country where the plants came from. The most popular sight in this park is the orchid garden – home to a seemingly endless variety of beautiful orchids, it looks nothing short of ethereal. Explore further to see Ho Kham Luang Royal Pavilion – situated in the centre of the park and built in Lanna style and architecture, it is where you’ll find the painting exhibitions about the life and works of King Bhumibol.
