Thai Boat Museum

A place brought to life by one man’s passion for boats, the Thai Boat Museum is an attraction that houses the different kind of boats that has sailed Ayutthaya’s rivers through the years.

The brainchild of Mr. Patitoon Khaomala, the Thai Boat Museum is a quaint place that features a remarkable display of boats. Often overlooked by other tourists, guests will have an intimate experience seeing various boats bearing different designs and embraced by interesting stories. The family that manages the museum are very in-depth when it comes to explaining everything about the boats. You will not only learn about canoes, barges, fishing boats, and royal boats, you will also learn about the intricate Chao Phraya river system, and Ayutthaya’s rich history, too.
