Ayutthaya Historical Park

Ayutthaya Historical Park - a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site - stands as a witness to the astounding development of Thailand experiences. It is home to many historical sites and religious landmarks.

Spanning a total of 289 hectares located in the southwestern and central parts of the island of Ayutthaya, the Ayutthaya Historical Park gives visitors a glimpse of the splendor of ancient Thailand. Established in 1350, the place was once considered the second Siamese capital until it suffered a terrible demise in the hands of the Burmese people in the 18th century. In here, you will see well-preserved reliquary towers known as prang, intricate architecture, and enormous monasteries. Ayutthaya Historical Park will somehow remind you of Angkor Wat. Religious sites such as Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Ram, Wat Phanan Choeng, and Wat Ratchaburana are just some of the UNESCO-protected structures.
