Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall

Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, previously known as Sun Yat Sen Villa, is a two-storey, colonial style home that currently serves as a museum in honor of Sun Yat Sen, the Republic of China’s founding father.

In the quiet corners of Baliester lies the villa where famous leader Sun Yat Sen planned three of the ten uprisings that gave birth to the modern Republic of China. The villa’s stately facade made of sophisticated architecture, and the statues and murals found in its gardens now stand as a strong testimony of the contribution of Singapore’s local Chinese pioneers to the 1911 Revolution. Different exhibits such as interactive multimedia pieces, a a depiction in hologram of Sun Yat Sen’s life, and activity booklets help visitors learn more about the historically significant villa in Singapore.

Opening Days and Hours

The memorial hall is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Entry Fee and Bookings

Singaporeans and permanent residents are free of charge. A USD 6 fee is charged to adult tourists, and USD 4 for PWDs, senior citizens, children, and students.

How to Get There

From the city center, choose from Bus Nos. 21, 130, 139, 145, 186 and alight at the Zhong Shan Park bus stop.
You can also take the MRT to either NS19 or NS20 Station. From the station, walk 15-20 minutes to Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.
