Mount Pulong Bato
Found within the Pasonanca Natural Park is a monolith — the Mount Pulong Bato or Columbato.
Mount Pulong Bato is made from solid rock, which makes it unique from other mountains. At the same time, it gained a reputation when the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) declared it as a volcano, surprising a majority of the locals.
PHIVOLCS further stated that Mount Pulong Bato is an intrusion type of volcano, which means that it was formed within the Earth’s crust.

Mount Pulong Bato can be found inside the Pasonanca Natural Park, at Pasonanca Road, 7 kilometres from the city proper.

The Pasonanca Park is open from 06:00 to 18:30, daily.

- Fly from the country’s capital of Manila to Zamboanga City via Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines.
- From the Zamboanga city proper, board a jeep bound to Pasonanca.
