Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, also known as the Puerto Princesa Underground River is a protected area and national park managed by the local government.

It is the longest underground river that is filled with stalactite and stalagmite formations – which tourists can see and tour via a boat.

 

Location

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located in Barangay Cabayugan, around 80 kilometres north of Puerto Princesa.

The park is open during daytime, but tours have to be booked in advance as it gets fully booked in some days.

How to Get There

You can get to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park via a 1 to 1 ½ hour ride on a van or jeepney. Drop-off point is Sabang, from which you can enter the park via a short hike or a 20 to 40 minute boat ride.
