Royal Selangor Visitor Centre

Experience first-hand how pewters are made by wandering through the galleries and museum exhibits of the modern Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. You will witness real-time pewter crafting at the factory and for a fee, you can learn to create a take-home pewter accessory.

 

Location

The visitor centre is about 20 minutes by car from the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

 

Opening Days and Hours

The centre is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, including public and school holidays.

 

Entry Fee and Bookings

Admission to the visitor centre is free. The centre provides free guided tours in English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese

 

How to Get There

You may get to the visitor centre by Light Rapid Transit (LRT) Kelana Jaya line, disembarking at Wangsa Maju station and then taking a 5-minute taxi ride. Alternatively, Royal Selangor provides free shuttle services from major hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Simply ask your hotel concierge to arrange for a pick-up.

After the tour, you may head to the cafe at the visitor centre for coffee, tea, and a delicious selection of home-made cakes and pastries for breakfast or afternoon tea. Meal choices include sandwiches, pasta, salads, and daily lunch specials.
