Location

Pulau Dayang Bunting is about 15 minutes away via a boat ride from the main island of Langkawi.

 

Opening Days and Hours

There are no specific operating hours on the island, however, you will need to charter rides with local tour boat companies to get to the island and they start their departures from the Kuah Jetty from 09:00 onwards. You will also need to book return rides or island hopping packages with them.

 

Entry Fee and Bookings

Entrance fee to the island is RM 5 (USD 1.22) for adults and RM 3 (USD 0.73) for kids.

 

How to Get There

The only way to get to the island is by booking island hopping or private tour packages through local tour companies. It is best to book or call in advance especially during the peak season. Hotel pick-ups and drop-offs may also be available, depending on the package you book. However, all boats will depart from the same jetty/terminal.

Try to avoid visiting during the peak season of January to March as the island can get very crowded with both local and international tourists. It is also best to start your trip as early as possible because the temperature could get unbearably hot in the afternoon.

There are some light snacks and food for sale on the island itself but it is best to have a more substantial meal on the main island of Langkawi that offers a variety of food in a wide range of prices.

The island itself does not have a proper shower area, so do come prepared with your swimming attire or an extra change of clothes if you would like to take a dip in the lake or sea.
