Khone Phapeng
The fierce waterfalls of Khone Phapeng -- also known as “Asia’s Niagara Falls” -- is one of the fascinating tourist destinations in the islands of Si Phan Don.
As you fix your eyes in the incredible sight of seemingly endless cascades, you can’t help but feel the incredible power of the falls evidenced by the loud roaring sound it creates. The falls are breathtaking but powerful — as tempting as it may be, this attraction located near Cambodia is not open for swimming. Nevertheless, you can spend your time here admiring the incredible work of nature, take endless photos, record videos of daring fishermen, or simply find shade and refreshments inside one of the restaurants located nearby.

- Fly from Vientiane to Pakse via Lao Airlines.
- From Pakse, board a bus or a minivan to Nakasang.
- From Nakasang, you can reach Don Khon via slow boat
- From Don Khon, you can take the shuttle bus to Khone Phapeng.
