Khon Pa Soi Falls
If you want to shy away from the crowded waterfalls of Tat Somphamit and Khon Phapheng Waterfalls-- make a turn and head over to Khon Pa Soi falls, a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path attraction in Don Khon/ Don Det.
Khon Pa Soi is Don Khon and Don Det’s hidden gem — you would be amazed at how isolated this place is and how perfect it is for a quick getaway from the party scene of Don Det. The trip to Khon Pa Soi is worth taking — get to the main waterfall by crossing the fun and adrenaline-pumping suspension bridge leading to Don Po Soi island, and taking direction leads just by listening to the waterfall’s roar. Although might want to reconsider taking a dip in the falls due to its strong current, you aren’t completely left with no options — take the smaller suspension bridge to see the French-built diversion walls for logging operations built near the river Mekong.

- Fly from Vientiane to Pakse via Lao Airlines.
- From Pakse, board a bus or a minivan to Nakasang.
- From Nakasang, you can reach Don Khon via slow boat
- From Don Khon, you can walk all the way to Khon Po Soi Falls. Take note, though, that only relatively fit people can travel there by foot. You can also hire a motorcycle.
