Try your hand out in farming at Luang Prabang’s The Living Land Company.

The Living Land Company is a community-run organic farm that offers guests the opportunity to try the farming lifestyle. Tourists can try to grow rice and even stay in a lovely Lao-style house that overlooks rice terraces and organic vegetable fields. The Living Land Company supplies fresh and organic vegetables and rice to hotels and restaurants in Luang Prabang. At the same time, local families can opt to work on the farm to avail of student scholarships and other benefits.

The Living Land Company is located Khuangsi Water Fall Road, Ban Pongvang, Luang Prabang.

 

Opening Days and Hours

The Living Land Company is open daily from 08:30 to 18:00.

 

Entry Fee and Bookings

  • A stay on the farm that includes room and breakfast, with no activities, cost USD 50 for two persons.
  • A half-day “Rice is Life” interactive program that includes various activities on the farm, product tasting, Lao lunch, community fees, and taxes can cost USD 40 (excludes transportation) to USD 62 (includes transportation) per person.

The easiest way to reach The Living Land Company is via the transportation provided in the tours or through a rental car from Luang Prabang.
