Spas In Bali
Bali is pretty much synonymous with spas, and this is down to the fact that traditional Balinese ingredients and relaxation techniques lend themselves so well to a spa treatment. Whether you are looking for a quick massage to reduce tension, or a full day of relaxation and pampering, then you will certainly find it all over Bali.
If you are keen to try a traditional Balinese spa when you are visiting the island, it helps to bear in mind that extended treatments or all day packages are usually not cheap. If you are traveling on a budget, then you will find a wealth of local masseuses on the beaches of Kuta and Seminyak who will give you a foot massage for around $4. For a spa treatment however, you are likely to also be paying for the gorgeous surroundings, relaxed and private atmosphere, and often food and drink included.
Here are some of the best spas in Bali…
Thermes Marins Spa at The Ayana Resort:
This spa was actually voted ‘Indonesian’s Best Hotel Spa’ by Conde Naste Traveler in 2015, so you can come here knowing that you are in for a treat. One of the spa’s claims to fame is that it has an Aquatonic Sea Water Jet Pool (the only one in Bali) and all treatments take place overlooking scenic Jimbaran. The treatments here are traditionally Balinese in style and aim to relax and balance guests, leaving you feeling in harmony with your surroundings. Packages that you can choose from include the 7 Chakra Dhara Journey which costs $230 for 120 minutes and uses gemstones to rejuvenate your chakras. Less expensive treatments include the Hot Shell Massage at $133 for 90 minutes.

One such treatment is the Flower Ritual which costs $150 for 120 minutes and comes with a Sacred Flower Body Wash and Scrub. You can also opt for shorter treatments like the 75 minute Oceanic Massage which comes in at $80 and uses glass stones to activate pressure points on the body.
