The small island of Nusa Lembongan can be considered worlds away from the hustle and bustle of South Bali. The island is one of the three islands separated from Bali by the Badung Strait (the other two being the larger Nusa Penida and the smaller Nusa Ceningan). The beaches around the island are best for diving and snorkeling, with its abundant marine life and healthy corals. At the same time, those who prefer a relaxing vacation would love the island because its beaches never get crowded.
Location
Nusa Lembongan lies southeast of Bali and is part of three islands that make up the Nusa Penida district. Twelve kilometres of the Badung Strait separates the island from Bali Island.

Entrance to the island is free, but activities such as diving will incur additional costs. Diving packages can cost from IDR 300,000 to 2.3M (USD 21 to 161).
How to Get There
The only way to reach Nusa Lembongan is by boat (or rented helicopter). The most number scheduled fast boat services going to the island leave from Sanur Beach at Jalan Hangtuah. Boats from Benoa Harbour, Padang Bai and Kusamba in East Bali also travel to Nusa Lembongan but do note that these are not recommended due to safety and comfort concerns.
