Angkul Beach is a little charming beach with a small fishing village. This secret beach is not frequented by many visitors, making it a perfect spot to unwind on hammocks or deck chairs, sunbathe, swim, and snorkel. After a fun and exhausting day at the beach, you can enjoy a stunning view of the fiery sun disappearing into the ocean.
Location
Angkul Beach is about 16 kilometres southeast of Kep town, in the same direction as the Vietnam border. It is about 118 kilometres east of the Sihanoukville International Airport.

Angkul beach is accessible via motorbike-taxi (or motodub), tuk-tuk, and motorcycle, which costs USD 15, 20, and 8 respectively.

The best time to visit the beach is during the months of November to April, when it is the dry season and sunny weather can be enjoyed on most days.

Food
Because of the beach’s remote location, you are advised to pack your own lunch, snacks, and drinks for your visit. You may be able to get some cold drinks and food from the local vendors but choices can be limited. Other than that, you can find a number of food and dining options in Kep, the nearest town.

- Phnom Kampong Trach Cave: The cave is about 25 kilometres from the beach and it will take you about 30 minutes to travel in a motorcycle or tuk-tuk to get there.
- Kep town: The town is about 16 kilometres away and a 30 to 40-minute on the road.
- Sothy’s Pepper Farm: This plantation is about 18 kilometres from the beach and takes 30 minutes to reach.

Walk a bit further down the beach where the white sandy beach is a lot cleaner and quieter.
