Simply Bhutan Museum
Simply Bhutan is a “living” museum that showcases the life, culture, industry, and religion of the nation. It also has various activities that provide a rich orientation about Bhutan.
The first stop is in the Reception Area where tourists are greeted by masked guides in traditional Bhutanese costumes welcoming each visitor with customary greetings. The museum is made up of three rooms: the Costume Room where traditional clothing can be donned at a fee, the Entertainment Room where visitors can play archery and darts, and the Demonstration Room where handicraft-making and cloth-weaving are demonstrated. The tour culminates in the Tashi Delek Courtyard where a golden statue of Buddha peacefully watches the courtyard. A prayer and a coin tossed into the pot that floats in front of the statue becomes a symbolic goodbye.
